Our Philosophy

Who Are We?

At Itty Innovators, we consider children to be at the core of our approach. We treat each child as capable, ready and willing leaders of their own journey.

As educators, we are here to facilitate a satisfying, challenging and intriguing learning space for each child. We follow each child’s interests and provoke, stimulate and encourage new interests.

We encourage and support the building of effective relationships and support children to express, understand and meet their own physical and emotional needs. We offer opportunities for children to discover new interests, talents and creative abilities, and inspire them to recognize, understand, respect and contribute to the natural environment.


Children are nurtured through active play opportunities, the provision of delicious and nutritious food, encouragement and support to extend capabilities, and engage in risky play opportunities.As educators, we draw upon our educational learning frameworks and our passionate interest in models of early learning, particularly the Reggio Emilia, RIE and Pikler approaches.

We continue to develop and offer insights and experiences for children based upon family input and culture, professional experience, reflective conversations with peers, research, professional learning and observation. Our unique environment includes the creation of Studios within which operate a series of Pods. Each child’s studio is selected to offer continued opportunity for the engagement of children in each other’s learning.

Children, their educators and families will create further learning communities within our broader community. We will eat, play, learn and rest together, and guide each other’s learning through play and relationships.We offer our local community, including our families, the opportunity to actively participate in our Centre and genuinely ‘belong’ to our ‘community of learners’. We actively seek input into our curriculum and programs, and relationships with local service providers. We consistently ask our families for input and feedback, and create spaces for active engagement in our centre.
We consistently share information about our service, our programs, learning experiences and each individual child’s learning journey with families and encourage active participation.
